Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
The red bedroom (room 1) is a very spacious superking or twin bedded room with
beautiful river views from its bay window and is elegantly furnished.
This bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom with daisy head power shower
over the bath and a wall heater.
The River View bedroom (room 2), equipped with towelling robes, may either be a twin
bedded room or a superking bedroom. It has views of the Stour and Orwell
estuaries and Felixstowe docks from one window and the Suffolk Wildlife
Trust's nature reserve at Trimley from the other. Both views may be
enjoyed from your bed! Its spacious private bathroom is located opposite
and has a bath, walk in daisy head power shower and a wall heater. This
room can also have an additional bed to accommodate families.
These adjacent rooms have their own separate entrance and staircase,
and their own landing.

Room 4: Stable room |
The recently converted Coach House (rooms 3 & 4) offers two ground floor en suite
(shower) bedrooms, which are linked by a tiled lobby.
"A lot of careful thought and attention
to detail just makes this a fantastic stay, better than many
top hotels."
- Mr & Mrs Kerswell, Barrow Haven |
The rooms
can be either twin bedded or superking beds, and the Coach House
room can accommodate an extra fold-out bed. This development is
fully inclusive with access via a brick path from the front door,
and is ideal for those with less mobility. French doors lead out
to private lawns with views across open countryside, perfectly suited
for catching the evening sunshine. These offer the same comfort
as the rooms in the main house.

Breakfast is served in the dining room where the French windows provide
wonderful views of wildlife in their natural habitat. Breakfasts are freshly
cooked on the Aga using locally procuded sausages
and bacon, home made preserves and eggs from the
chickens in the orchard at Shotley Hall Farm.
There is also an elegant sitting room for guests’ use, complete
with traditional open fireplace.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and relax on the terrace
in fine weather.
Children over 7 are welcome and one small, well-behaved dog may be accommodated
by arrangement.
Please note that for health and safety reasons there is a no smoking
policy throughout the house, although guests may smoke on the terrace
if they wish.
