Bed and Breakfast Booking Information

Here is some useful information to assist you in planning your bed and breakfast stay at Hill House, Shotley.

Deposits, payment and cancellations

A non-refundable deposit of £20 per room per night is payable at the time of booking for stays or more than one night. Guests are liable for the whole amount of the booking in the event of a cancellation within 7 days of the arrival date if we are unable to re let the room for the full length of the booking period. In order to cover this cost it is recommended that guests should take out their own travel insurance. Deposits can be settled by cheque made payable to 'Mrs H Wrinch' or by online bank transfer (bank details supplied with confirmation of reservation) or by debit card – please telephone 01473 787318 / mobile: 07887 941921.

The balance may be paid in cash, cheque, bank transfer or debit or credit card (we do not accept Amex or Diners Club). There is a surcharge for using credit cards but not debit cards.

Arrival and Departure

Check-in is from 4.30pm until 6.30pm (please ring if you are going to be late as we cannot guarantee entry after 6.30pm) and check out is by 10.30am on the morning of departure.

We are open all year and sometimes at Christmas and the New Year.

Breakfast

A full English breakfast using locally sourced fresh produce is served from 8 am until 9 am. Lighter options are available.

Smoking is not permitted in Hill House.

Dogs

One small well behaved dog can sometimes be accommodated by arrangement in the rooms in the annex. Dogs are not allowed into the house. Please telephone 01473 787318 to discuss this.

Children

We do not accept children under the age of 7.

Car Parking

There is plenty of car parking space for visitors' cars.
